Today I want to tell you about my Midsummers Evening. I have always taken photos on walks but never realised that they were actually a thing until I discovered Makelight …

This is the first year that I have really marked Midsummer — and it was lovely to remember it by going on a Makelight Photo Walk around our beautiful Regents Park in Central London.

Regents Park is a gorgeous oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of London. Here are just a few of the photos from the walk.

The scent and the colours from the flowers were amazing. I get so much inspiration from the nature this was just brilliant.

As the evening walk progressed the sky became darker creating a dramatic backdrop,

Then at last, right on cue, the sun made a blazing appearance …

Having spent some lovely hours wandering around taking photos we found ourself in the coffee shop! After chatting with our new found lovely friends we decided it was time to make a move.

Much to our surprise (and we were not the only ones!) the gates had been locked. Fortunately for us they were not quite as high as these ones. However, I make a note to myself not to wear a dress next time!! I did some rather inelegant climbing over gates helped by my co-adventurers!
It was one of the best times. Thank you to the lovely Emily Quinton and Stef Lewandowski for Makelight and for inventing Makelight Photo Walks.
