Baby mittens for you to knit

One of my favourite things to do  is crafting.  I especially enjoy knitting little accessories. This Spring I’ve been making tiny baby mittens – lots of them!

Below are a few of my designs.

Baby Scratch Mitts

I love playing with colour.  For this collection I’ve chosen ice-cream pastels.  Texture and touch is also important and so I’ve used super soft baby merino.

I tied them together with lace and satin ribbons to make beautiful gifts for newborns. You can find them in the One Purl Row Etsy Store.

I added a silver grey version in baby bamboo yarn and tied it up with pastel blue ribbon.

These are super simple to knit and make unique gifts for mums to be.  I’ve added a pattern to the store. It’s an instantly available PDF download containing all the information you need to make stacks of these. There are mix and match variations for you to choose from so you can make your own unique little mittens – they will basically be your own design.

All you need to know are the basics – casting on and off, knit and purl and a tiny little bit of shaping which is very easy to master.

If you decide to make them I hope you have fun.  I would love to see what you create.
