Knitting Know How – Tapestry Cast Off

The tapestry cast off is one of my favourite ways to finish a project as it gives a neater edge than the more traditional cast offs.

Simply cut the working yarn leaving five times the length of the edge to be cast off. This should give enough yarn to complete the cast off and sew in the ends neatly.

I use the tapestry cast off in the knitting pattern for the One Purl Row ribbed fingerless mittens.

I hope you find it useful in your knitting projects.
