Knitting Know How – Magic Loop Knitting

It may seem daunting but it’s really worth learning how to knit using the Magic Loop Method. This is because it produces a tube of knitting with no seams to sew up. It’s useful for all sort of things.

I use magic loop knitting for the One Purl Row fingerless mittens and the Eye Glasses Case knitting patterns.

It’s called the Magic Loop because when you are knitting, two loops will be formed (one on either side of the working stitches) by the wires holding the circular needles together (they look a bit like Mickey Mouse ears).

In this demo I was preparing to knit an eye glasses case (so just ignore the reference to the glasses case at the beginning of the video).
